Luxury Travel Guide to Casablanca, Morocco

Casablanca, The Eighth-Largest City in The Arab World.

It is the largest city of Morocco and is respected as the economic and business center of Morocco. This city was known as Anfa before the 15th century. Sultan Mohammed ben Abdallah rebuilt it after it was destroyed in 1755 due to a massive earthquake. He named the city ”Dar-al-Baiḍā” which means ”House of White.” The city used to bask in luxury and wealth during his ruling.

In the 19th century, the Portuguese mariners started calling the city “Casa Branca”, which means ”white tower”. The current name was evolved from that.
